A classified magical experiment whose true architect is Valentina. Eko was engineered to observe conventional magic, understand enough of its structure to reproduce a usable approximation, retain those copied patterns, switch between stored elemental expressions, and combine compatible effects. Resonance is powerful but not absolute: abilities inseparable from identity, soul, anatomy, bloodline, transformation, or higher authority cannot simply be copied, and stacking incompatible magic pushes his body and internal system toward dangerous overload.
